What began as a seven-week creative journey on the summit of Table Mountain in collaboration with the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway developed into something even more meaningful.

In October and November 2025, sixty-five (65) South African artists joined Hermien van der Merwe in her “studio in the sky,” creating work inspired by the extraordinary mountain and fynbos landscape surrounding them.

In 2026, the body of work were featured in two group exhibitions:
